Marlie began her marketing career in her hometown, Edmonton, where she worked with clients such as Eaton’s, Woodward’s and the Edmonton Oilers. Her innovative television campaigns have won several CLIO Awards (New York).
Marlie moved to Vancouver to join McKim Advertising and manage the Tourism British Columbia account. As a Vice President and Account Director, she worked on well known award winning accounts such as B.C. Film Commission, CP Hotels, The Keg, B.C. Steamship Company, Tourism Victoria, Blackcomb and Pharmasave. Since starting Bridge Communications Marlie has had the opportunity to undertake strategic planning, marketing, advertising and public relations for a number of organizations including City of Vancouver, Firehall Arts Centre, Patrick Street Productions, William On Web, Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Tap Productions, and Dance Society.
An active member of the community Marlie serves on the boards of TheatreSports and Telefilm Canada. Her work in the community has been acknowledged by a Patron of the Arts Award from the Jessie Richardson Society.
