Maureen Verkaar

Maureen Verkaar has been doing Publicity, Promotions and Special Events since 1985 working on many local, national and international projects in locations including Vancouver, Victoria, throughout BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. She has worked with a wide variety of international to local arts organizations, charities, renowned authors, feature film and television companies, musicians, dance and theatre companies, classical music, wineries, restaurants and museums.

As a Publicist and Director of Marketing she has developed and led publicity and marketing campaigns, guided promotions and special events. She has also researched and developed tourism and promotion campaigns in Canada and the USA for large-scale touring productions including Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Three Tenors Concert. In addition, Maureen oversaw opening Mariachi, the Spirit of Mexico in Las Vegas and Los Angeles as Director of Marketing and Communications.
